There are variety of options and payment models for utilizing the MuxCloud.
Free Public Mux.am
Developers can utilize the public Mux.am service via the Developer API for free with files up to 30MB. All requests will be handled in line with the rest of the public consumer Mux users, meaning that it could take awhile… but hey, it’s free! This is a good place to try out Mux easily, once you receive your API key.
Partner Developer Server
Mux provides a development server to interested partners that represents much more closely the level of performance you would receive from a dedicated MuxCloud node. It also allows for transcoding of video files up to 1GB in size. If you would like access to the MuxCloud partner server, please contact us.
Hosted MuxCloud Nodes
For a set fee plus bandwidth charges, we can host and manage your own private instances of MuxCloud nodes, from 1 to 100. You will be provided with your own private API endpoint, management and storage mechanisms. Nodes can be added and removed with 24 hour notice. Please contact us to receive a quote based on your expected capacity.
Premium On-Demand Via Amazon DevPay
The Mux Cloud is available as a premium service through Amazon’s DevPay. Amazon DevPay leverages the Amazon Payments infrastructure and provides developers with an easy way to charge Amazon’s tens of millions of customers. Amazon customers can pay using the same login credentials and payment information they already have on file with us.
With the DevPay pricing, you can directly control your EC2 instances of the MuxCloud, adding and removing nodes at will. All pricing is variable by how much you utilize your EC2 nodes.
